I can’t remember ever looking forward to a new year as much as I am looking forward to 2021. Tonight, as we ring in this hopefully brighter and better new year, I will take a moment to reflect on everything we’ve accomplished as a community — a community that despite the obstacles never faltered and never wavered in its determination to end Duchenne. We have our work cut out for us in 2021, but I have no doubt that with your support, we will achieve everything we set out to do, and more.
That’s why I am asking you today to join me in supporting PPMD’s Duchenne Protein Mapping Project, a critical next step in research. Understanding the progression of Duchenne is crucial to getting us where we need to go. With this information, we can unlock breakthroughs in research that will have a profound impact on the future of Duchenne research. Please make your gift before midnight and help us reach our goal of $400,000.
So many members of our community have given literal pieces of themselves so that researchers can unlock this data to find clearer answers. We’re incredibly grateful to our community partners Team Joseph, Little Hercules Foundation, Ryan’s Quest, and Another Day for Gray for also recognizing the importance of this work, and DOUBLING every donation made before midnight tonight, up to $200,000!
Please join with our community partners, and with our families who have given so much, and help us unlock data that will unleash breakthroughs to propel research forward. We can’t get there without you. As we say goodbye to a year that has held so much uncertainty and so many questions, let’s support a project that is firmly grounded in clear answers that will inform so much of what we do next.
I wish you and your loved ones a peaceful, safe and happy new year.
