Updates on Duchenne Clinical Trials/ Approved Drugs and COVID-19
As more families begin to self-quarantine, work & school from home, and drastically change day-to-day routines, questions are arising about what it means if you or your child are receiving medication or treatments from a specific company or participating in a clinical trial. PPMD has reached out to our industry partners and asked for updates. We will continue to update this list as more information becomes available.More Information >
Resources from PPMD’s Certified Duchenne Care Centers
PPMD continues to turn to our incredible network of Certified Duchenne Care Centers for their expertise on dealing with COVID-19 as it relates to Duchenne specifically. Some of those centers have provided us with resources we think you and your family may find helpful.Resources >
There is nothing better than quality family time, but as much as we all love each other, as we look at potentially weeks of self-quarantining, the ideas may start to dry up. Luckily, none of us are alone and there are a number of fun, free online resources for the entire family – from virtual tours of zoos and museums, to concerts and opera, to books and educational tools that will make family time that much more enjoyable.
And once you go through these ideas, create your own and share them with PPMD!Family Activity Ideas >
Duchenne Daily 20
Between now and Friday, April 24, commit to doing something active for 20 minutes a day while raising much-needed funds to support PPMD’s mission – because Duchenne does not stop for a virus! As events and gatherings around the country are being cancelled or postponed, we recognize that it’s still critical for our community to stay active and connected while still taking action to help end Duchenne. That’s why we’ve created a virtual event – DuchenneDaily20.
Set up a fundraising page and ask your friends, family and neighbors to support your effort to get moving. From a dance party in your living room, to balloon volleyball, to a walk/ride around your neighborhood, there’s something every individual and family can do to keep active and keep our momentum going in the fight to end Duchenne. On Friday, April 24, we’ll do a special community-wide activity at a designated time – because we’re all in this together!DuchenneDaily20 >
