Health & Well-Being

  • Maryland Children’s Health Program (MCHP)
    MCHP provide health insurance to eligible uninsured children under age 19 based on family income and size.

  • Model Waiver for Disabled Children
    This program provides services to “medically fragile” children under age 22 who meet Nursing Facility or Hospital Level of Care criteria, yet with appropriate support may remain at home or in the community.  Services include case management, home health aid and private duty nursing.  Limit of 200.

  • Community First Choice Long Term Services and Support
    Under the three programs, Community Options Waiver, Community First Choice Program and Medical Assistance Personal Care Program, eligible individuals with disabilities who meet Nursing Facility or Hospital Level of Care criteria are provided services and supports allowing them to remain at home or in the community.  Services include assistance with activities of daily living, household services related to medical need and transportation.

    Run by the Maryland Department of Developmental Disabilities, MDTPA provides information, device loaning and financial loans for equipment.
