- Kentucky Children’s Health Insurance Program (KCHIP)
KCHIP provides free or low cost health insurance to eligible children under age 19 based on family income and size. Some families will have a monthly co-pay.
KCHIP information - Home and Community Based Waiver Program (HCB)
Individuals who are disabled and meet the Nursing Facility Level of Care criteria and meet financial eligibility may receive supports and services allowing them to remain at home or in the community. Services include minor home adaptations for accessibility, case management, attendant and personal care and respite care.
HCB information - Model II Waiver
Model II Waiver is a Home and Community Based Waiver for individuals who depend on a vent 12 or more hours daily or have a tracheotomy and need High Intensity nursing care or would otherwise require care in a hospital based Nursing Care Facility. Nursing services are provided to allow an eligible individual to remain at home or in the community.
Model II Waiver information - Health Insurance Premium Payment Program (HIPP)
This program may cover insurance premiums for eligible Medicaid participants who have employer provided health insurance.

F2F HICs are family-run centers that assist families of children and youth with special health care needs and the professionals who serve them. the goal of the F2F HICs is to help keep children healthy by promoting regular medical care. Parents and families with children who have special health care needs often need assistance navigating the complicated issues surrounding health care. F2F HICs help families make more informed choices by providing support, information, resources and training.
