The PPMD Certified Duchenne Care Center (CDCC) program aims to ensure all individuals with Duchenne and Becker have access to high quality, comprehensive, and coordinated care and research. The program is rooted in five guiding principles: Quality, Advancement, Education, Collaboration, and Transparency.
Applications for new centers seeking initial certification as well as the Research Designation are open from February 6-March 27, 2026. Applicant centers will be notified by April 10, 2026 whether their application has been accepted to move forward in the certification process.
Please note: If you previously applied for certification through our legacy grants management platform, you would need to reapply through the new PPMD grants management platform linked below.
Due to capacity, there are limited spots available for 2026. Applications will be prioritized by the CDCC Certification Committee based on:
  1. Application is completed fully and accurately
  2. Geographic catchment area, with consideration to proximity of existing CDCCs.
  3. Number of patients served
*If your application is not accepted in the current certification cycle, you will be invited to apply again in the 2027 certification cycle.

  2. Application Portal
To access the application platform,  go to https://parentprojectmd.org/grants and click Sign Up. You may notice a slight delay while your user profile (or whomever is going to complete the application) is linked with your institution. I’ve included our platform manager on bcc so she can expedite linking the accounts. On the new platform, you’ll see two grant opportunities: one for CDCC certification (this serves for both new and recertifying centers), and a CDCC research designation application. The research designation is an optional, additional opportunity that serves to communicate more effectively to the community which centers are more heavily engaged in research. The standards for certification, along with additional application materials, can all be downloaded from the grants platform.
