This past weekend, PPMD headed west for PPMD Together: San Francisco, CA, bringing together families, clinicians, industry partners, and local organizations for two days of connection, learning, and collaboration.

Following an evening reception on Friday, Saturday featured conversations focused on topics that matter to families living with Duchenne and Becker, including daily life, school, advocacy, navigating insurance, and more. Experts from Certified Duchenne Care Centers (CDCCs) at Stanford Children’s Health and UC Davis Health also answered questions from families on a range of topics, including how wearable devices may help track stability and progress and how quality-of-life measures can be used to better understand outcomes that matter to people living with Duchenne and Becker.

Families also had the opportunity to connect one-on-one with organizations and industry partners at our vendor fair, including Able Closet, SNAPkids, and Make-A-Wish. These conversations helped families learn about resources, services, and opportunities that may be helpful in their own communities.
