Earlier today, Pat Furlong and I had the privilege of hosting a conversation with ImagingDMD experts Glenn A. Walter, PhD and Krista Vandenborne, PhD. We discussed the ImagingDMD team’s groundbreaking MRI work to determine critical biomarkers for Duchenne, as well as the importance of PPMD’s Biomarkers Initiative to help us leverage data for new discoveries.
Over the years, PPMD has supported numerous biomarker projects. Now, we are proud to finally launch our Biomarkers Initiative with the Duchenne Protein Mapping Project. Your support is critical to giving this new initiative a strong start. Any contribution you can make will be doubled to help us unlock data that has the potential to unleash future breakthroughs.
There is nothing more important than driving momentum in Duchenne research and care. Arming ourselves with biomarker data could provide a richer characterization of Duchenne progression and potentially generate new tools to enhance clinical trials and accelerate drug development.

Help PPMD reach our goal of $400,000 to support the Duchenne Protein Mapping Project. Thanks to our community partners, Team Joseph, Little Hercules Foundation, Ryan’s Quest and Another Day for Gray, all donations will be matched up to $200,000. This means your gift goes twice as far to help leverage data for new discoveries. Thank you for anything you can give.Donate >
