Each year, PPMD ensures that the Duchenne community is at the forefront of the hearts and minds of Congressional leaders and champions in Washington, DC by convening our annual Advocacy Conference at the start of the annual Appropriations season.
As we celebrate 30 years of PPMD and the progress we have made as a community in the last three decades, it is more important than ever that we have a strong cohort of advocates ready to share their stories with legislators so we can send a united message in support of our policy priorities.

2024 Meeting Details
Sunday, March 3:
- Join us for a comprehensive advocacy training session from 3:00–7:00pm ET to prepare for meeting with legislators.
Monday, March 4:
- Kick off the day with breakfast and a PPMD Town Hall. We’ll take this opportunity to reflect on the 30 years of progress we’ve achieved together and hear from you about what policy priorities you would like PPMD to address moving forward.
- We’ll then head to Capitol Hill for congressional meetings and return to the Dupont Circle Hotel for an evening reception.
Tuesday, March 5:
- Hill meetings will wrap up by 5:00pm ET.
