
This state is RUSP aligned: Georgia has a law that requires the state newborn screening program to review and consider inclusion of all conditions on the federal Recommended Uniform Screening Panel (RUSP). Duchenne is on the RUSP, and Georgia’s law requires that the state’s newborn screening advisory committee reviews Duchenne for addition to their panel by December 16, 2026.
Duchenne is under review by Georgia’s Newborn Screening Advisory Committee workgroup.
