Host an Event

Are you an experienced event planner? Do you have great fundraising ideas? Have you used events to raise money in the past for other organizations? If you answered yes to any of these questions, PPMD encourages you to consider hosting a fundraising event.

Even if you have no experience, hosting an event is effective, empowering, and fun. And PPMD is here to help at every step of the way. PPMD has helped hundreds of people organize fundraisers since 1995. We have great ideas and tools to help you during all stages of planning and execution.

Why host?

Very often, when faced with the diagnosis of Duchenne, families become overwhelmed and feel helpless in the face of this disorder. Rolling up your sleeves and getting involved in some way can help to empower a family, and offer them a much needed sense of purpose.

Events can be planned in many settings, both large and small scale, and with varying themes. With a little organization from caring and determined people, everything from garage sales to golf tournaments can become effective fundraisers that help support PPMD and the great work that we are doing in the Duchenne field.
