Thank you for making the launch of PPMD’s Robotics Initiative such a huge success! In less than three weeks, we raised $165,400 to support innovative technology that we believe will benefit all people with Duchenne. For the last several years, PPMD has kept an eye out on new technologies being considered to provide assistance to people with a variety of disabilities and challenges. Recently, these technologies are being adapted for people with Duchenne and PPMD is supporting these efforts. Thanks to your generosity, we can support more projects and new work in assistive technologies. Thanks to you, PPMD can continue to look ahead and the full progression of Duchenne.
Just because our spring campaign is over, it doesn’t mean you can’t still donate! We will continue to provide you with updates on the Solid Suit, X-Ar Arm, and all of the other exciting projects on the horizon and hope you can join us at PPMD’s Annual Connect Conference in June to learn more about our Robotics Initiative. If you haven’t read the notes from PPMD’s CEO John Porter and our Senior Vice President, Legislation & Public Policy, Annie Kennedy from last week’s International Robotics Workshop, I hope you’ll take a look. I was there and I have to say, I was blown away by the passion and commitment of the engineers and inventors in the room. Genius is an understatement for the talent that gathered in London and there is a lot to be excited about.
Thank you again for believing in PPMD and supporting us however you can, whenever we ask. We will continue to look ahead and we will continue to believe in innovation!
