Parent Project Muscular Dystrophy
Your simple action made it happen.

Dear Friend,

There’s a contagious joy when our holiday wishes come true. I can vividly remember seeing my sons’ and daughters’ faces light up every Christmas morning when they saw what was under the tree. In fact, I can even remember what it felt like as a little girl when I got exactly what I wanted from Santa.

Because of you, everyone at PPMD is feeling the joy of a holiday wish come true. Your simple action—a gift to PPMD—helped us not only reach but actually exceed our ambitious goal of raising $200,000 for the Duchenne Superhighway, an important project that will make clinical trials simpler, faster, and more efficient.

Mother and Son

2013 was not an easy year, but last week, as we rang in 2014, I started to feel rekindled hope and momentum building. Of course, you—and the rest of our community—played such a big part in that.

This holiday season affirmed the power of simple actions, and how they can add up to big change. One person can’t do everything. But we can each do something. And when we all take simple actions, no matter how small, we are so much closer to a future without Duchenne.

Watching our community step up over the past month, a time when we truly needed your help to reach our goal, has given me renewed energy as we head into 2014. I hope you were able to recharge your batteries during the holidays, too, and are ready to join us in making the New Year one of groundbreaking progress.

Thank you for continuing to believe in the work PPMD is doing. May 2014 be an incredible year for you and your family—and may it be a landmark year in the fight to end Duchenne!

Happy New Year,

P.S. Your support made the Superhighway possible. This is such a crucial project for the whole Duchenne community, and we’ll be keeping you up-to-date throughout the year on all the developments as they unfold.

Parent Project Muscular Dystrophy’s mission is to end Duchenne. We accelerate research, raise our voices in Washington, demand optimal care for all young men, and educate the global community.
